Latina Loves Obama

Latina Magazine Chairman, Edward Lewis, announced his support for Obama -and switch from Clinton- with the following statement:

“As the founder of a woman’s magazine, I acknowledge that Senator Clinton has served as a role model for many women across America and I have great admiration for her.”
“However, as the campaign has unfolded, I have witnessed the strength of Senator Obama and both his passion and commitment for new possibilities for a better America. His conviction has led to my conviction that he is the hope for our country. I urge all Americans to support his candidacy for President of the United States.”

We Missed One! Don Omar For Obama

Don Omar Endorses ObamaBack in April, puertorriqueño and reggaeton sensation Don Omar told Primera Hora he was supporting Barack Obama:
“This is an honor for me, because an artist from my genre has been considered to participate in this campaign. I am doing this as the first Latino singer to join his campaign. I took on the responsibility. I don’t care what anyone says.”

“He talks to the United States about change. We don’t want war. What the world wants is peace. It’s time for a change, and yes, we can do it. I couldn’t say no to this opportunity because I’m part of the Latino community.”

Obama Super Sweep

Looks like Audra listened to us after all.

Audra Ostergard announced her endorsement for Obama saying:

“I have carefully weighed input from Democrats across Nebraska and closely watched results from primaries and caucuses across the country. There are compelling arguments for supporting both candidates, but my decision came down to what’s best for our country and for Nebraska.  In that regard, I am confident in my decision to endorse Senator Obama.  He has a proven ability to activate Democrats in Nebraska.”

“The gravity of this decision has weighed on me heavily. I don’t want to use my position to influence the process, but at the same time I agree with Howard Dean that our party needs a nominee.  Senator Obama’s prohibitive lead in pledged delegates was a major factor in my decision.”

Way to be Audra.

Obama is now 6 for 6 in Nebraska.

Oh and props too to the Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry for endorsing Mr.Obama as well!

It’s a beautiful day.

Michael Moore and Ohio Super Side With Obama

Two more notable Obama endorsements within the last 24 hrs:

Ohio Superdelegate and DNC member Enid Goubeaux:

“I am endorsing Sen. Obama because his message, ‘yes we can’ has inspired so many voters, especially younger voters, to take part in shaping our country’s future.

“I believe that Sen. Obama will end politics as usual which divides the nation and prevents us from confronting our most serious problems.”

 Filmaker Michael Moore:

“What we are witnessing is not just a candidate but a profound, massive public movement for change. My endorsement is more for Obama The Movement than it is for Obama the candidate.”

“Over the past two months, the actions and words of Hillary Clinton have gone from being merely disappointing to downright disgusting,” he writes, saying that she has tried to “smear” Obama — “Like you were nuts. Like you were a bigot stoking the fires of stupidity.”
